What the Southern Suburbs need from a carport
The southern and eastern slopes of Table Mountain take Cape Town’s heaviest winter rainfall, so roof pitch, gutter runs and where water discharges matter more here than they do on the drier northern side of the metro. Mature oak and pine cover along the older avenues drops leaf litter through autumn and winter, which is the usual reason a Southern Suburbs carport needs gutters and periodic clearing rather than a bare roof sheet — see whether your carport needs gutters.
